Cody, Wyoming
We left Red Lodge and headed south to Cody, Wyoming and as we crossed the Clark’s Fork River,
Lewis & Clark, Sacagawea & Pomp waved goodbye and about the same time “Buffalo Bill Cody”showed up and welcomed us to Wyoming!
The city of Cody has grown a lot since we were here last. Lots of new buildings and shops.
First thing this morning I had a free pancake breakfast at the RV Park that we are staying and then we headed to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. What a place! It is everything that Buffalo Bill did in his Wild West Shows plus so much history about the people who came and settled the western frontier. Display after display, artwork, Indians, guns, trappers, buffalo hunters and more! WOW!
Next we went to Old Trail Town. This is also quite a place!
They have old historical buildings and associated material that have been moved from where they were originally built and reconstructed at Old Trail Town and filled with original furnishings.
It was quite a morning!
Tomorrow we head for North Carolina 🙏
